MENNEKES commenced its engagement at the location Neudorf in Saxony already back in 1991. Since 1995, MENNEKES Elektrotechnik Sachsen (Technoplast) is a complete member of the MENNEKES Group.
The production area in Neudorf includes 4 production areas. The plastic injection molding shop has 27 injection molding machines. CEE plugs and sockets as well as wall boxes are manufactured in two assembly departments. In addition to the production of injection-molded plastic part, the Neudorf site also manufactures stainless steel housings for both combination units and charging stations. The Neudorf site in the Erzgebirge employs over 140 people.
Since 2008, more than 8 million Euros have been invested in the site in the Erzgebirge. In 2009, MENNEKES Sachsen invested 4.5 million Euros alone in the construction of a new production hall of 2,500 m². Today, the site has a modern machine park for plastics and metalworking. In addition, assembly facilities are available for a wide variety of requirements.
In cooperation with the Fraunhofer Institute IML in Dortmund, a state-of-the-art high-bay warehouse with over 11,000 small load carriers and over 900 pallet spaces has been built. Further investments will be made in the creation of new, modern production facilities for the installation of wall boxes.
MENNEKES Elektrotechnik Sachsen GmbH is deeply rooted in the region. This is characterised by the social commitment in the region. The "Revolution Train" project involved in the prevention of addiction is supported, as are regional sports clubs and local schools and kindergartens.
MENNEKES Sachsen is the main sponsor of the third Bundesliga club Erzgebirge Aue.
